God is alive in the QC Jail!

We were pleasantly surprised at how vibrant and alive the prayer meeting was in the QC jail!
They have their own music ministry complete with drums, guitar and trumpet. They sang so loud and straight from their heart I cried!
Bro.Boy who leads the prayer mtg. puts me to shame with all the bible verses he has memorized...in pilipino pa!
We had a video showing of Joel Osteen from his weekly podcast titled " Living Breakthrough Minded".
Going there made me realize why God wants to bless them - not only spiritually but also materially. He wants to show them that He will answer their prayers for provision! I feel so privileged that God can use me to bless them....all of us to bless them!

We brought with us donations of 120 bibles, merienda and the 1st batch of polo shirts and pants. They still need more polo shirts and pants. Most of their waist size is 28" to 32"- payat but anything will do. They are not picky. They even wear the girls petron uniform! They were sitting on the 52 chairs we brought- also from donations! Two of them got prizes for memorizing Ps23. I would have wanted to take more pictures but it's actually bawal. Patsy just sneaked this one.

Chairs for the QC jail Chapel

Thanks to generous donors we were able to raise P12,116 in 3 days to buy 52 chairs for the QC jail chapel.

I turned over the chairs to Tita Betty Evangelista of Women for Christ. She is in charge of the catholic spiritual development program of inmates of the QC jail.

Rockin' Josh

This one is for my nephew Josh. He got a rock band (or is it guitar hero?) from his parents. I tried the drums and found it quite hard. You have to invest a lot of time to get good at it. It was the main event of his birthday party. I hope the verse will be written in Joshua's heart if he sees it often!

My Valentine's Day 2009 Collage

I made this collage for my mommy and daddy who will be celebrating their 54th wedding annivesary this sept.10.
Daddy thought i made it in photoshop. i think cutting and pasting the old fashion way is easier for me!
i found the vintage marriage license and thought it was perfect. i don't have much art materials
for my projects- yet! i used my daughter's crayola and paint and thanks to my sister (the scrapbook queen) for lending me her brown stamp pad. "Love is Eternal" is from 1Cor 13:8. i wanted this in my collage but my stamps don't have numbers.
Thank you Lord Jesus for the blessing of my parents and their marriage!

My First Collage

This collage is titled "Mark and His Music". I made it for his 14th birthday. Mark is into his guitar and music so I thought I would make this for him to remember. It is actually a cover of a card but guess what? He wants it framed! I am ecstatic! My 1st effort is a success! I am hoping he will treasure Ps 37:23 in his heart.
